Madi and I were sitting on the bus going to her school. I asked her "Do you like your cheerios? They are fruit flavored" She responds, "No, not fruit, these are cereals" It is funny how literal she is!
She is a very capable girl. She likes to do things to help. She responds to us as we do to her "bless you" or when we get hurt "you'll be ok" She bumped her head, VERY hard, at school. Not a tear. She is a tough girl who likes to stay strong. She has opinions and is pretty stubborn (as are most children her age) and she is very persistent. If she doesn't win the first time, she will find a way. Our job is to stay tough....and pick our battles!!! She is very friendly to strangers and likes to give hugs to children at the park.

Updates 4.19.10
Madi tells us "good job" when we do things.
She says "Bless you" when we sneeze
Steve and I were talking about who has cash in case we see the ice cream truck. Steve said, "I don't have money, do you?" and Madi said "Do you have money mommy?".
One day she said "I want to call grandma"
"Daddy eat it" when he didn't she said "I will show you", and helped open his mouth.
"This door locked, can't go in this way, we go this way (as she points)"
Talking to someone at bus stop "I like mommy"
At park "I want ice cream, I remember the song, I like the song" (about the song the ice cream truck plays as it moves)
She plays guitar and sings
"Clap for Madi" then she says "yay"
When she knows she did something we dont approve of "Don't take my ____ away" or "Don't take ___ away from me" Becuase she knows we take away what she doesn't use properly.
"Look at that"
"Watch me"

Yes, we have a helmet for her!!!!!!!!

Mn Trip
We had a great time in MN. We were there for about 2 weeks as Steve and I had Passover vacation. We had quality time with family, sibs, saw Madi's Great Grandpas, Madi's Great-Great Aunt Esther, parents and friends.
We tried out some new outdoor parks and on a rainy day we went to Edinborough which is a large indoor park.
Madi likes to flush the toilet and see the water go down. Before she does it we say "Look at me, one time" (because we don't want her to flush multiple times as that is a waste). One day I said "Madi, look at me" and she said "One time" with one finger up just like I do before I could even say it.
It is funny to see her say things that we say in the way we say it and in the correct context.
She has gotten very good at stalling before bedtime or leaving.
She says bless you each time we sneeze, says "I do myself", "I need help", "I can't do it, see?" "I can't reach" and Come with me-hold my hand".
