Week 31!! Another Dr Appointment this week!!!

Now we are at week 31! Wow, about 9 to go....

Baby measures about 16 inches long. She may weigh a little over 3 pounds and is headed for another growth spurt. She can turn her head from side to side. The fat layer she's been accumulating for the last few weeks has caused her arms and legs to fill out nicely. Rather than hearing vibrations, baby's nerve endings in her ears are connected now so that she can hear distinct sounds, like familiar voices and music.

It has been beyond amazing to feel the changes in her movements from what they were when I could first feel them to now when she has less room to move yet she is stronger than ever. We can feel and see limbs poking my stomach out, and often my stomach changes shape as she moves and squirms. This has been a great time of bonding between the 3 of us as Steve can really see the movement now.

The nursery is almost completed, Grandpa Abelson is painting pictures for the nursery, once those arrive we will post pictures!!

I continue to feel well and we walk often to keep up exercise, always being careful in the heat and himidity!

Stephen continues to be an amazing husband/soon-to-be father as he reads the baby books (always without me asking him to) and helping plan for the birth/baby's arrival, thinking of things I have not yet thought of or just bringing up discussion topics.

We see Dr. Aaron on June 7th and will give another update then.

Be well,
Alissa and Stephen
