Updates

Hi,

Madilyn has been having the best time crawling backward. We hear that at the daycare she crawls clear across a room and smiles at the teachers while she does it! She has been so fun to play with as she gets more and more into toys and interaction. She loves books, and watches us while we read, but also is more into the illustrations/pictures as well. Madi loves to bounce up and down and gets much joy from watching us do the same.

Madi has been loving her rice cereal which we use instead of the carrots at this time (carrots were a bit upsetting to her tummy).

Madi is starting to know how to protest to stop us from doing what she doesn't like/want.

Overall she is a very happy baby and has been learning many new tricks. We help her practice the crawling position by either A) placing her on her tummy on the sensory ball so her arms are over the ball and her legs are bent under her as they would be if she was crawling or B) holding her under her tummy, she then instinctively pulls her legs under her and she can hold herself on all fours for a length of time. She rocks back and forth while on all fours trying to gain momentum to move. Sometimes we can even let go and she will be on all fours alone. It is SO funny...we crack up when she does it.

More later,
Alissa, Stephen and Madilyn
