Madi Update

Now that Madi is more independent she has been doing many things. She is now 16 months!!!!!

1) She goes to touch something that she has been told before not to touch, turns to look at us and gets a half smile and waits for us to say "No". When we do, in a firm voice, she smirks (sometimes) because of the tone we use and then will run to us with her arms out to give us a hug. We're not sure if the hug is to make us laugh, or to say "look how cute I am", or to change the subject and make us forget we said "No" to her. Either way, we have to work on this or sometime soon, if not already, she will push all of our buttons.

2) She wants nothing to do with the shopping cart, unless she is eating or is pushing the cart herself. We got many comments at the store about how cute it was that she was pushing the huge Target cart. She loves to walk up and down the aisles, look at the toys and other items. What took most of her interest was the makeup counter. Yes, she definitely is a girl! She took out the mascaras and tapped them on her hand as if she were writing on her hand and then would take out the next one. She did this until 30 minutes passed. She has a long attention span! We got our workout!!!

I am so glad Madi knows exactly how to push buttons. Guess who she inherited that from? I am so anxious to see the big girl she has become. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Love,
Aunt Bev
