Updates...August

Madilyn is repeating and saying more words. She is trying to connect words and thoughts to actions.

Madi drinks her morning milk cup in our bed, between us. We all rest there while she drinks, and then after she cuddles.

She gives the biggest hugs now, really squeezes. We have a bear hug game. We stretch out our arms, count 1,2,3 and then give a big big hug. We do this for a while, she laughs.

A couple of nights ago Alissa was at the gym, Madi woke up while she was gone because she had made a poo-poo. Madi wanted mommy to change her, so Steve and Madi rocked in the chair until Alissa got home. Madi ended up falling asleep while being rocked by Steve. When Alissa got home she took Madi from Steve and laid her down to change her. Madi said in a disoriented/questioning/quiet voice "mommy, mommy?" It was funny/sad all at the same time because we could tell she was happy to see Alissa, but yet was so tired and probably wondered why she was woken up to begin with, that she was sad as well.
